Overview
The statute covers PTSD resulting from direct trauma — combat, assault, accident, or medical trauma — in patients 18 and older. A psychiatrist, psychologist, or primary care provider's diagnosis is generally sufficient.

Growing trial evidence supports cannabinoids for PTSD-related nightmares, sleep, and hyperarousal. The VA and DoD have funded multiple studies.

- PTSD diagnosis (DSM-5 criteria) from a qualified provider
- Description of the qualifying trauma
- For veterans: DD214 helps but isn't required
- Front & back of your Georgia driver's license or state ID
